Plan Going Forward
Here are our steps over the next three weeks to further improve our algorithm.
3 Week Plan
Week 1

Work on symmetry detection for melanoma through utilizing Jaccard distance and index

Continue working on detecting colors of melanoma through thresholding
Week 2

Determine how to detect melanoma on darker skin tones by implementing new feature detection strategies, rather than relying on current binarization that has poor accuracy on darker skin pigmentation

Work on overall detection code implementation
