Project Goals
The goal of our project is to accurately detect melanoma on a person's skin by detection of known melanoma features on jpeg images.
OUR MISSION
Accurately Detect Melanoma through the ABC Method
Our algorithm will classify potential melanoma areas through the three following categories:
​
1. Asymmetry - Melanoma are typically not symmetric
2. Border - Melanoma typically have a jagged and rough border
3. Color - Melanoma typically are darker in color and consist of varying shades
